DIY Sunflower Butter

 

Sunflower butter is a delicious and healthy spread that you can make easily at home, especially because its commonly sold in plastic containers. Making your own sunflower butter using bulk sunflower seeds will also save you about 50% of the cost of packaged pre-made sunflower butter. Score!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sunflower seeds (roasted optional) – bulk
  • 1-2 tablespoons light flavored oil (Canola, avocado, vegetable) -refill or glass container
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)  – bulk
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or sugar to taste (optional) – sugar: bulk or paper packaging/ syrup: refill, or glass container

Directions:

Blend all ingredients until smooth and creamy.

 

Storage: Store in a sealed container in the fridge for 3-4 weeks.
