Madi Golightly – Researcher and Creator of Zero Waste California
Bio: Madi is a zero waste advocate and environmentalist who is attempting to change the planet’s trashy habits and mitigate climate change with a low-impact lifestyle. She created Zero Waste California in 2016 after being inspired by an environmental science professor, Susan Mahoney.
Madi currently lives in the Bay Area with her four dogs: Parsnip, Fizzgig, Gogo Gadget and George. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in History from the University of California Santa Cruz and is currently attending law school. She is passionate about environmental and social justice and hopes to pursue a career in Environmental Law. Her hobbies include learning foreign languages, cooking, journalism, back country camping, picking up beach trash, and, of course, learning more about history.
